United Kingdom questions

Is VAT shown on UK prices?+

Consumer prices must include VAT. Business invoices usually quote amounts excluding VAT and add it on the total, which is where the add mode applies.

Do these figures apply in Scotland?+

VAT and National Insurance do, but Scottish income tax bands differ from England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Use the Scottish rates from Revenue Scotland for those years.

Figures follow published national rates and are estimates only. They are not tax, legal or financial advice — confirm with the relevant authority or a licensed adviser.
